Typing for Dollars

Typing is a great skill to have. It is a skill that once you have mastered the art of it or perhaps it comes to you as naturally as speaking, you will soon or may have already discovered that you have the ability and the potential to make great money if you ever find yourself in need or just want to make an easy and honest living in as little time as possible right in the comfort of your own home.

Typing can be used in many forms; desktop publishing work processing and more.

If you know how to type it would be wise to learn the Suites of Microsoft Office which includes: Excel (Spreadsheets) Microsoft Word and Power Point. This will give you the opportunity to not just leverage your business, but you will have the chance to make even an even greater living for you and your.

Typing resumes, cover letters, follow-up letters, thank you letters and other various forms of letters is as easy as 1-2-3. Typing dissertations, thesis, reports and manuals becomes a little more difficult and time consuming. Typing these kinds of documents are a lot more involved because in addition to typing these lengthy documents, you will also be typing bibliographies which can be very tedious, but as a typist, you become accustomed to typing all sorts of documents.

Typing and creating flyers, business and postcards can be fun because it gives you a chance to demonstrate/display your design creativity. As a typist, when you design flyers you can implement a bevy of artistic elements to make your clients' flyer pop. Like wearing makeup to highlight the beautiful hues in the eyes, you can take trusting colors like a pretty blue, a great looking font such as Arial or Times Roman, one that is easy on the eyes to create your flyer; a flyer that will immediately grab the attention of the market that is being targeted. You can add graphics, separators and other design pieces that pertain to or that are relevant to the flyer you are making.

Typing can open the doors to many avenues for you if that is your dream. Typing can open the doors to a whole new world. You can start your own business at home just typing. It does not cost much to begin typing for other people at home. If you were to delve into the work at home arena, you will find that typing at home is legitimate, honest, easy and has the potential to be make you great money.

With all the businesses in the world, 9 times out of 10, some form of typing is required. Computers can be seen in every office in a traditional office setting accompanied by printers and fax machines - which probably means that someone is typing all the documents necessary to help keep that business afloat. Why not start a typing business of your own and offer your services to these businesses. You do not want to go to work full-time for them and they do not want or perhaps cannot afford to hire you on a full-time basis because it would mean that they would have to offer you benefits; it would not be worth it to you any way to work for someone else and here is the reason why; the potential to make great unlimited money just went out of the window. The purpose of starting your own typing business is so that you can:

Design your business your way.
Leverage your business.
Implement and display your unique and great ability to create amazing documents and flyers.
Have all the flexibility you need without ever compromising your freedom.
Be your own boss!

Typing for dollars. It is the only way to type!

Working from home is the only way to work. Why travel to an office to work for someone under a mountain of stress that weighs you down, that can't be moved unless you tell your boss, So long, I quit! It's just not worth working for someone else when you can very easily start your very own home-based business.

To be your own boss means to design your business your way; it means to have all the freedom you want and the flexibility that gives you options to do whatever you need to do when it comes to being there for your family.

I know so many people who work for someone else and they fuss and complain about their co-workers and the boss who hasn't an ounce of compassion, patience nor understanding when you need to take time off for whatever your reason.

When I worked for the residency program as program coordinator, I had five bosses with all five of them telling me something different to do five days a week; my head was spinning and I was fed up and so disgusted that I didn't know which way to turn, but on that hot day in June, I turned towards the door of that office and walked out. Sure, I was leaving a great salary behind, but that was about it and the money was not worth jeopardizing my health nor my ethics or morals.

Every boss or supervisor thinks his/her way is the right way and the only way of doing things within a business. Often times you're not allowed to voice your opinion or implement your brilliant ideas to help the businesses growth. If you are able to voice your opinion, usually it stops there; they are not going to use your ideas and if they do, nine times out of ten, you're not going to get the credit for it nor the raise you know you deserve.

Being a business owner, which means you're the boss, is a wonderful thing. You can grow your business your way and remember, there is never a cap on your salary.

So if you're still thinking about that business you know you can make a fantastic success, it's time to get started; there's no time like this very second.

Work At Home Moms

Work at home moms do a variety of work from home jobs, some lucrative, some fulfilling and some just okay . Some work at home jobs are just the thing stay-at-home moms need to meet a goal or make a dream a reality.

Many stay-at-home moms are in a perfect position to start an in-home business. Staying at home makes it easy for those stay at home moms who long to be work at home moms focus on how to start their own business because they have the time, the flexibility and the freedom to design a work at home business their way. Some stay at home moms need income to help supplement what is already being brought into the home for varioius reasons.

Working from home has so many advantages and the advantages far outweight the disadvantages, but when you stop to think, there really are no disadvantages when you work for yourself unless, of course, you feel the need or have a strong desire to be around people.

All the positives of running a home-based business are rewarding and can include, unlimited income potential, being your own boss, designing your business your way, having more time to care for the home and those who reside with you, not having to answer to anyone, no stress unless you create it yourself and a short commute to your home office and never having to change into professional attire which can be very uncomfortable at times.

This is what is called working in comfort. When stay-at-home moms take the initiative to start a business based on their passion, there is no way that the business can fail simply because they are doing what they love.

Working from home is a terrific way to live life because being at home gives you the joy, without the stress, of enjoying life the way it is supposed to live; being happy. When you are forced to work for someone else, nine times out of ten you have to travel, be it, by car or public transportation to a traditional office to sit all day where you are berated when you make a mistake and never praised for just coming to work.

Sitting in an office five days a week, eight hours a day away from home is not living and I don't think that there is a law that states that it is a must that one just has to go to work for someone else; there IS SO MUCH MORE TO LIFE THAN THAT. It is understandable that many people do have to work because it takes money, and a lot of it in this society.

A home based business can be the very thing that can take a stay at home into a whole new world of fulfillment and contentment. Why not take that leap by the thing called faith that each and everyone of us needs to enjoy a life of success and real prosperity!

How to Start a Typing Business At Home

I started typing when I was 14 years old. Taught by my sister, I quickly learned and mastered the art of typing and developed a truly great and necessary skill.

When I took my first typing class in high school I achieved all A's from the start of the semester to the end of the semester. From that point on I have never stopped typing. I typed for neighbors who thought that they could type, but once they discovered how fast and accurately I could type, they gave it up and I found myself doing all of their typing for them. I typed book reports for my friends and for myself as well. My neighbors, who were like my family purchased an IBM typewriter; man was that thing nice. None of us had a clue as to how it worked, but in no time at all, my fingers were creating magic. The typewriter was awesome. It just need to be typed on.

When I graduated from high school, I got my first job as a typist at a bank in downtown Philadelphia. As a matter-of-fact, every single job I've ever had required some form of typing. As a teenager and into my adult years, I kept telling my sister that I wanted a job that would provide me my own office. I didn't know at the time that what I really meant waas that I wanted to have my own business.

My next and final job would be the lesson and experience that would force me into starting a lucrative, rewarding and successful typing/transcribing business.

I knew that working for someone else would never give me the opportunity to fully utilize my skills and abilities and I would never ever make the kind of money I knew I truly deserved and was capable of making.

I wanted to work in a stress-free environment and for me that meant working in the comfort of my own home. I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted freedom and flexibility, but more importantly, I needed and wanted to be home when my children got home from school. Yes, I wanted to be home to greet my children with an afternoon snack, talk to them about what they learned in school and how their days were overall.

My children knew that I loved them, but I needed to show them just how much I loved them by being home for them when they came home from school; I didn't want them to come home to an empty house. They had never experienced coming home to an empty house before and I believed it was my responsibility to be home for them and not my mother and father; my parents were always willing to help me where my children were concerned and now I knew it was time for me, their mom, to be home for them.

When I was laid-off from my last job, I enjoyed being at home and relaxing with my children all summer long. I absolutely positively loved it and was determined to keep it this way for as long as I had to earn a living. Yes, I was determined to work in the comfort of my home. After working for 13 consecutive years at the hospital, I deserved it.

In September 2002, Magic Fingers Typing Service was born. I had everything I needed except my flyers to open the doors to my new found business. So I took my time and designed an awesome flyer, (I didn't know it when I designed it that it was awesome) which turned out to be a great marketing tool for my business. With this one flyer, which I posted at universities, I attracted a nice database of clients. This flyer gave me the incentive to create and design all of my own marketing materials. (that's another story that I cannot wait to share with you) This then gave me the motivation and inspiration to write an ebook of marketing tools to help anyone in need of attention grabbing marketing materials.

This one flyer attracted three students and a professor within 3 days of posting it at the university in my home town. I typed 2 dissertations and I transcribed 26 reports for a professor, netting me great money. I enjoyed transcribing the recorded interviews - though they were all centered around the same subject, each one was different because the people being interviewed were different.

My typing business has given me some wonderful opportunities which include sharing and helping those who simply do not have the time to do their own typing, showcasing my typing skills thereby getting me more work which then in turn gives me the opportunity to cushion my pockets with more money all the while helping others.

I'm my own boss; I don't have to answer to anyone. I work when I want to work and if I choose not to work I can take time off. If I'm sick I don't ever have to worry about calling a boss to say that I won't be in to work today --I don't even have to get out of bed if I'm feeling too sick to move. I set my own hours, I'm home when my children get home from school and I've designed my business my way!
